linux linux-kernel

Running the Linux Kernel 3.8.5-1 on my openSUSE box. The kernel isn’t yet available on the official 12.3 repo. It’s installable from the build service though.

I felt it was time to move to the next version since 3.7.10 was marked EOL.

It’s been a while I’m using it and till now no glitches found. Boot time is ok. All hardware seem to function correctly.

inote:/home/ish # uname -rv
3.8.5-1-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Mar 28 23:15:30 UTC 2013 (2178322)

Obtain the package from openSUSE Build Service.
