Search your own tweets

July 7, 2015

Ever needed to find things you tweeted weeks or months ago?  You tried to search your own tweets? Your first hit will be at the top-right of the screen featuring the search box. What you get there are results about people, images and videos, not your own tweets. There is a long way to ease your search and there is a short one.

Search your own tweets

The short answer is using Twitter Advanced Search. Just visit twitter.com/search-advanced and you should see the search form.

Search your own tweets

Type a key word which you mentioned in the tweet and in the people section specify your account; e.g I’d use @IshSookun. In the above screenshot one may also notice that tweets can be searched without logging to Twitter; of course, provided that tweet privacy is not set by the person.

That was not difficult, was it? Oh, the long way. Well, you could search an item using the traditional search box, on the results page click on more options, then advanced search :-) boils down to the same thing anyway.
