Google.com, no country redirect

June 29, 2015

Surfing the Internet using a My.T or Emtel (or some other local ISP) connection, and your homepage is www.google.com you would most likely be redirected to www.google.mu. In case, you are using a VPN google.ccTLD will be chosen according to your public IP.

Just in case, you would want to force your browser to www.google.com and not change as per the IP address, you can force it by adding /ncr at the end; i.e www.google.com/ncr. The ncr stands for no country redirect.
