Wikipedia defines motion sickness as a condition in which a disagreement exists between visually perceived movement and the vestibular system’s sense of movement. To be specific, what your eyes see and what your senses perceive happen to disagree with each other. The brain thinks that either of them is “hallucinating” and maybe that is due to poisoning. The stupid brain then causes nausea to induce vomiting. Oh dear…!!! I just hate that because I happen to suffer from motion sickness.
It’s been around 3 months since I sold my car. Travelling by bus has been fun but not in the beginning. It was like getting back to bus travel after 6 years. The first couple of weeks I did suffer some serious motion sickness. When I would reach work, I’d be like a zombie… and when I get back home I’d be a total mess. I took pills that would prevent me from vomiting.
A few weeks ago I started listening to music with eyes closed while travelling by bus. It kinda worked! No motion sickness. Yet one thing was still troubling me. I never was able to read or write while on the move. This has always been a great pain for me. I thought I should do something to overcome it. So, I started practicing… I listened to music and read some short texts while in the bus. Then some longer texts. Today I was able to read a whole chapter & write down 10 lines of code. Hehe! There seems to be a progress. :-)
