When discussion about DNS issues with gov.mu was tossed during a Mauritius Internet Users Group meeting, several among us stated having difficulty reaching Internet Direct Ltd (IDL) by phone. IDL is the sponsoring organization for .mu ccTLD, as appointed by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

Today while checking a few pages I came across something intriguing. The fax number as published on the IANA’s contact page for Internet Direct Ltd is the same as the phone number of Kwok Aquarium found in Port Louis. IDL and Kwok Aquarium seem to have the same physical address.

It would be interesting to visit the place some day in light of getting answers pertaining to .mu strange pricing.
