Android Lazy Swipe

March 8, 2015

A colleague, Manjeet, rather Munnah as we call him showed me this app he had on his phone. It’s called Lazy Swipe. I was intrigued by its set of tools, specially freeing the RAM, turning ON/OFF the flashlight etc. It’s like an all-in-one bundle.

I thought I’d give it a shot.

With a size less than 1Mb I considered the app would not be carrying AdWare libraries; like the ones we saw in the Flashlight app.

At first press of the booster button, 143Mb RAM is freed, a second press frees up 22Mb and a third press says « Nothing to clean. Your phone is now superb :) »

Google Play Store indicates the app as having between 10 to 50 million installs. That’s huge. The reviews appear positive in majority and scored 4.5 stars in a total of 927,528 user ratings.

The permission details list is quite long with a set of controls the app would need, from the camera to the WiFi. I found it normal considering the various functionalities of the application. Oh, come on, I should admit I’ve been lazy too, for studying what the app is really doing with my phone.

If you happen to test the app and find something more intriguing, ping me.
